Our High School (Grade 9 through 12) is fully accredited by the Macedonian Ministry of Education and Science.

We begin accepting applications from February for the next academic year based on place availability.
While we encourage new students to start on the first day of each semester, we may also accept students throughout the school year if they provide us with the documentation from their previous school which clearly states the time of their departure.

Yes, there is a school uniform that is mandatory for all students.
For students new to our elementary school, particularly those for whom English is not a first language, ASM offers additional ESL classes. The arrangements of these classes are made additionally.
New High School students are required to take an entry test in English and Math and they need to meet the school requirements to be admitted.
Students from Grade 2 through 11 take MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) tests in Reading, Language Usage, and Mathematics. AP (Advanced Placement) exams are offered in a few subjects. Macedonian students can also take the State Matura Examination.
Does my child have to be a regular American School Macedonia student to participate in after school, tutoring, testing or summer programs?
Absolutely not. American School Macedonia is able to organize after-school classes in all subject areas. We also successfully prepare students for a range of examinations including SAT, IELTS, TOEFL, AP, Cambridge ESOL (FCE, CAE, and CPE). We encourage parents to check our Facebook page and our website for updates on school activities. Parents also have access to our electronic roll-book, SchoolTool, which enables them to see their child’s progress. Should a parent wish to talk to any of the teachers, they can contact the school office to make an appointment. ASM also arranges Parent-Teacher Days during the school year.
Parents are welcome to get involved in our school activities. ASM offers volunteer opportunities that are available throughout the year, such as classroom presentations or event organization. Parents can find out more by contacting the school office.
